Four Consecutive Wins at Slinger for Jesse Bernhagen!
The Season has certainly been off to a special start at Slinger Super Speedway for the Bernhagen Racing Team. This past Sunday night, Jesse broke through in qualifying to set the teams first fast time ever at Slinger. Then after starting eighth in the feature event, Jesse drove the 28 car to second around lap 25, and then closed in on the leader with ten laps to go. Completing a last lap outside pass to win the feature event by .031 seconds! It was the second photo finish of the year to go the Triple B Racing teams way, and added a team record fourth consecutive victory to the books. Here is a link to the full story.
Saturday night, the team sent Jesse to Jefferson Speedway in the #27 car. It was the first time the 27 car had ever been to Jefferson, so the team was certainly learning as the night went on, but improved throughout the night. Jesse qualified 13th of the 21 car field, which locked the team into the feature event. They would start fourth row outside, and quickly improve to the fourth position. The car was tight on the bottom and that would force Jesse to give up a few positions sliding back to 7th. From there Jesse made the outside line work to defend against some faster cars, holding the 7th position until 5 laps to go when a caution would come out. Jesse surrendered one more position after the restart and finished a respectful 8th place.
Friday night, Brayden made his debut on the 2023 season, taking the six shooter would for a spin around Golden Sands Speedway in Plover, Wisconsin! Brayden qualified 10th, and improved his running in the feature by two cars, coming home eighth. Brayden picked up significant time throughout the course of the day. He would shave a full second off of his lap times by the end of the night.
